Wonder when and where this was filmed? This song was part of their A Christmas Celebration DVD, but not part of the New Journey filmed at Slane Castle. Anybody know when and where this was from? Meav was part of the ensemble in this, but she has now struck out on her own in December '07. I'll miss her...
It struck me how those of Islamic faith would view this presentation. In The Terrorist, much emphasis is placed on our "skin-oriented" culture. I guess I need to research Celtic Woman and see what that's all about.
Jim, I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. My roots are Irish, I love Celtic music and this rendition of such a sacred Christmas carol just touched me. My focus is on the song, not the performers. Beyond that, I've never considered the Muslim implications of a take on a carol about a uniquely Christian event (the birth of Christ).
It sure got my attention. I didn't have my volume up when it first came on, so all I got was the visual. Then what I stated originally immediately crossed my mind. After I listened to it again later, it IS a beautiful rendition.

brettd,
I have no idea where it was filmed. But it sure is beautiful. Their harmonies are heavenly. mc
